HairtonixT provides deep but balanced cleansing
- Hairtonix® cleans by stripping sebum from the hair and scalp but without excessive removal of the lipids otherwise that causes damage to the natural protection that the sebum is designed to provide.
- Sebum is oil secreted by sebaceous gland within the hair follicles and is readily absorbed on the hair strands and forms a protective layer that protects the protein structure of the hair from damage, but this protection comes as a cost. Sebum tends to collect dirt and scalp flakes, which is undesirable for the hair appearance; in the meantime that combination provides an excellent medium for microbial growth, which causes many scalp disorders.
- Naturally, the hair has a hydrophobic surface to which sebum stick and act as water repellent and that makes such lipid hard to come off when the hair is rinsed with plain water. When Hairtonix® is applied to wet hair, it is absorbed into the oil and hair interfaces then gradually reduces the interfacial surface tension and thereby allows for the removal of the sebum, together with any dirt attached to it.
